Chatarmin and armincx: who is behind them
Search for “Chatarmin” and you find two products from one company. According to its website, Vienna-based chatarmin.com GmbH focused on WhatsApp marketing for D2C brands in 2023, which still runs under the Chatarmin name. In 2024 it began building armincx, an AI customer service suite for ecommerce in the DACH region. If you are looking for a Chatarmin alternative for customer service, armincx is the product to compare against.
Sondercase is AI customer service for online stores, built by people who run their own stores. It resolves the cases that come after the purchase: order status and tracking, returns, warranty claims, cancellations, address changes, and product and policy questions. It reads the real order and tracking data, replies fully automatically if you want, and fully prepares the matching store action for you to approve.
To be fair, these two tools are closer to each other than most comparisons on this site. armincx also describes cancellations, refunds and address changes directly in the store. The differences lie less in whether they act and more in how you buy, start and run them: price, onboarding, target size, channels and setup.
A Chatarmin alternative with public pricing
The pricing page of the armincx service suite shows no euro amounts. It says the customer gets a custom price that fits their ticket volume and setup, and lists AI costs, the number of AI agents and team members as “Custom”. The vendor describes the model as a flat rate without seat costs plus variable AI credits, or as paying for what the AI actually automates; concrete prices only in a call. Since September 2026, chatarmin.com GmbH has also offered a free app in the Shopify App Store, “armincx AI Chatbot Sales Agent”: a chat widget with FAQ answers, order status and handoff to your team.
Sondercase publishes its prices, and every feature is in every plan. Only the volume differs:
- Starter: €39 per month (€29 billed yearly), 150 AI drafts and 15 store actions, around 100 resolved cases
- Growth: €89 per month (€69 yearly), 750 drafts and 75 actions, around 400 resolved cases
- Scale: €199 per month (€159 yearly), 2,500 drafts and 250 actions, around 1,500 resolved cases, priority support 7 days a week
- Enterprise: custom volume with SLA and migration help
A worked example: a store with about 300 support cases a month and two people in support lands on Growth at €89 per month, billed and cancellable monthly. Both team members are included, with no per-resolution fee and no setup fee. You know that number before you talk to anyone. For the full picture of what a ticket costs, see our support ticket cost breakdown.
Which store size each tool is built for
armincx is explicit about its audience. Its WooCommerce page addresses WooCommerce stores from about 100 tickets a month, and its Shopware page says the integration is built for mid-size to large DACH merchants with €5 to 50 million in annual revenue. Its Shopify page puts the business case at about 500 support tickets per month.
The Sondercase Starter plan is meant for stores with around 100 cases a month, or stores still growing towards that. Moving up is a plan change, not a new project.
Store actions: both act, Sondercase prepares them for your approval
Both tools go beyond suggesting text. For Shopify, armincx lists cancellations, refunds, address changes and discount codes through the Shopify Admin API, plus return creation with a label. Control comes from a draft mode or auto-send and rules per workflow.
Sondercase executes refunds, cancellations and address changes in Shopify and WooCommerce, opens return cases whose labels your customers receive through the returns portal, and places replacement orders. Replies can run fully automatically, per category and each with a confidence score and its reasoning. Refunds, cancellations, address changes and returns come fully prepared, and you release them with one click. No money moves without your yes. Uncertain cases go to a human instead of being guessed. Statutory consumer rights, such as the EU right of withdrawal and the legal warranty, are treated as floors, not as room to negotiate.
On store platforms, armincx is broader: alongside Shopify and WooCommerce it offers a Shopware 6 plugin and connections to JTL, Xentral and Billbee. Sondercase focuses on Shopify and WooCommerce, with refunds, cancellations and address changes on both.
Channels: what the price includes
Sondercase works in your existing support inbox and on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. All four channels are included in every plan, Starter too.
According to its website, armincx brings email, WhatsApp, live chat, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and telephony into one inbox. Its pricing page lists voice AI, “Socials” (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, X) and marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Kaufland, OTTO) as add-ons. If you need phone or marketplace support, you will find more channels there. Sondercase includes email, WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook in every plan; armincx’s pricing page lists social AI as an add-on and does not detail what the base package includes.
Setup: self-serve or a setup team
armincx relies on hands-on onboarding: a setup team that migrates old tools, builds workflows with you and trains your team, plus support via Slack. Migration is listed as an add-on on the pricing page.
You set up Sondercase yourself with a guided setup and no engineering: connect the inbox, connect the store. There is nothing to migrate, because Sondercase works on top of your existing inbox. On Scale you get guided onboarding; Enterprise adds migration help.
How to test Sondercase without risk
- Live demo without signup: on the homepage, enter your store domain. Sondercase analyses the store and resolves a real support case live, using only public store data.
- 14-day free trial, no credit card: connect inbox and store, and the AI starts in draft mode. Once the replies are right, you switch categories to automatic.
- Cancel monthly afterwards, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
What an AI support tool must be able to do, and how to check it in any demo, is in our guide to AI customer service.
Conclusion
armincx is a serious tool for DACH ecommerce brands with growing ticket volumes, especially on Shopware (per the vendor, merchants with €5–50M revenue) or with JTL and Xentral in the back office, and for teams that want WhatsApp marketing and service from one vendor. Sondercase is the Chatarmin alternative for Shopify and WooCommerce stores that want to start today. It has a public price from €39 per month, all channels in every plan, a guided self-serve setup without migration, replies fully automatic if you want and store actions ready for your approval.
